陳士侯

陳士侯 1957 年出生

國立藝專美術科、國立臺灣藝術大學碩士畢業,作品曾多次獲國內重要獎項。創作以彩墨畫為主,從寫意畫風進入寫生工筆,再轉入佛像人物造像,融會貫通各派水墨畫的精髓,具豐厚的創作底蘊。

彩瓷創作超過20 餘年,無論花鳥、蔬果、魚禽或鍾馗、仕女等,都能維妙維肖地傳達物像的本質,並將紛擾的外在淨化為靜謐但濃郁的新世界,展現出既現代又古典的新美學。

 

陳士侯老師生長於純樸的臺中農村,自幼熟稔農事,擁抱田園,倘佯鄉間野趣,寄情花木禽鳥。

耽研藝事之後,選擇了磨練心性的工筆花鳥人物為創作主軸,以沉靜的自持展現於精勁的筆墨勾勒和細膩的賦彩中,又以開朗的胸懷投入插畫的社會美育功能及瓷畫、壺藝等多元媒材的試煉,豐富了自身的創作經驗。

對萬事萬物的觀照,精確而真誠;勾勒賦彩於畫作,洋溢著豐沛的活力,所呈現的明麗色彩及鮮活情狀,正是台灣這塊充滿陽光樂土的寫照。

 

畫寫古代人物是老師特別鍾情的題材,以毛筆線條遒勁及用筆節奏速度快慢,變化多端的筆觸寫出「鍾馗」的各種神韻,畫中神態各異,皆是當下心情之寫照。寫意花鳥畫是老師自學畫以來最喜愛的繪畫形式,於宣紙上的氣韻頗能展現墨彩之妙。

花鳥畫舉凡工筆,寫意當參造物之妙,觀察與寫生並行,在精細的工筆花鳥作品中,以寫意的水墨枝葉作烘托,營造出「工寫合一」的另番情趣。

 

Chen Shih-hou, Born in 1957

 

Graduated from the Art Department, National Taiwan Academy of Arts (now National Taiwan University of Arts) with a master's degree, he has won several of prestigious awards. From freehand to meticulous painting, then turning into Buddhist iconography, most of Chen’s works are Chinese color paintings that merge the skills of various schools to enrich the background. Working in porcelain painting for two more decades, Chen lively delivers the nature of objects, no matter they are flowers or birds, vegetables or fish, or figures such as Zhong Kui(鍾馗)and Chinese noble ladies. He cleanses the noisiness with a quieting aroma, mixing modern aesthetics with classic ones.
